The true value of gemstones

Jan 19 - Many miners in Madagascar are unaware of the true value of their precious stones, and the government wants to do more about it. In Madagascar many towns are organised around the mining industry, but the miners are often unaware of just how precious their gemstones are. The Institute of Gemology, IGM, has been set up to educate those in the business to help them recognise and value a stone.
